Bis April 2012 wurden bereits 134 Projekte mit einem Umfang von 4.756 Megawatt durch die zuständige Stelle für Umweltverträglichkeitsprüfung genehmigt, weitere 43 Projekte mit einer Leistung von 3.213 Megawatt wurden zur Evaluierung eingereicht.
Gegenwärtig befinden sich insgesamt 733 Megawatt installierte Leistung nicht konventioneller erneuerbarer Energien am chilenischen Stromnetz, was einer Prozentzahl von 4,4 entspricht.
