Der Erste Mai
Ein wichtiger Festtag der Marienthaler Arbeiter und Arbeiterinnen war der in Österreich seit 1890 von der Sozialdemokratie gefeierte 1. Mai.
Zunächst nur von den Marienthaler Arbeitervereinen – insbesondere mit prachtvollen Auffahrten der Radfahrvereine – gefeiert, wurde die Veranstaltung vermutlich seit 1907 von der sozialdemokratischen Ortsgruppe organisiert.

An important holiday for the workers of Marienthal was the First of May, celebrated in Austria by Social Democrats since 1890.
First organized by the non-political workers’ associations of Marienthal – in particular with splendid bicycle parades of the local clubs – the First of May was then organized by the local group of the Social Democratic Party since probably 1907.
