Anschaulich geschrieben und noch reicher bebildert als bisher, präsentiert der Jahresbericht 2008 zahlreiche Highlights aus der Forschungsförderung in den Geistes- und Sozialwissenschaften, den Lebens- und Naturwissenschaften sowie den Ingenieurwissenschaften.
Vor allem aber beleuchtet er strategische Neuausrichtungen im Förderportfolio der Organisation - und zeigt damit, wie die DFG der Wissenschaft auch 2008 neue Horizonte eröffnet hat.

Die Bewertung regulierter Produkte, weitere Maßnahmen zur Wahrung der Unabhängigkeit und Integrität ihrer Arbeit sowie die Krisenreaktion waren zentrale Aspekte der Tätigkeit der EFSA im Jahr 2011, wie aus dem heute veröffentlichten Jahresbericht der Behörde hervorgeht.
Im Laufe des Jahres 2011 erstellte die EFSA 658 wissenschaftliche Gutachten, Berichte, Leitfäden und Stellungnahmen.
