1802 erwarb der Maler Michael Wutky im Auftrag der kaiserlichen Sammlung in Rom und Neapel zahlreiche Antiken im Wert von mehr als 9.000 Gulden.
1804 wurden Skulpturen, Vasen und Bronzen aus der Sammlung Vincenz Maria von Rainer zu Harbach gegen eine jährliche Leibrente von 2.500 Gulden angekauft.
1808 wurden 30.000 Gulden für zahlreiche Stücke aus dem Nachlass von Angelo de France und 1815 sogar 125.000 Gulden für die Skulpturen und mehr als 600 Vasen umfassende Sammlung des Grafen Anton von Lamberg-Sprinzenstein bezahlt.
