Im vergangenen Jahr konnten mehr als 300 Studierende sowie Wissenschaftler und Wissenschaftlerinnen aus Syrien mit einem DAAD-Stipendium nach Deutschland kommen.
Im Rahmen des STIBET–Programms des DAAD haben im Jahr 2012 die deutschen Hochschulen zusätzlich 1,4 Millionen Euro erhalten, um schnell und unbürokratisch Nothilfe für Studierende aus Syrien zu leisten.
