Funded by develoPPP.de, the programme has established a strategic alliance until the end of 2013 with sports equipment manufacturer Nike Inc. / Nike ( UK ) Ltd.
This strategic alliance is to be implemented in Brazil, which is hosting the FIFA World Cup 2014 and the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2016, and in South Africa.
The two parties also cooperate on strategic issues at global level, including the Designed to Move initiative, a global campaign launched by Nike Inc. and supported by GIZ.
