The Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenbe... Archiv ( StAWt-R )
With the foundation of Wertheim also the records of the town Wertheim were incorporated.
In 1988 the Main-Tauber district took the initiative in establishing the so-called " Archivverbund " (a cooperation of the Land Baden-Württemberg, the Main-Tauber district and the town Wertheim) .
www.landesarchiv-bw.dedie beiden Letzteren sind die Linienarchive der Häuser Löwenstein, welche die Grafschaft seit 1648 gemeinsam regierten.
Bei der Gründung des Staatsarchivs 1978 brachte die Stadt Wertheim ihr Archiv mit ein.
Durch die Beteiligung des Main-Tauber-Kreises kam 1988 der Archivverbund Main-Tauber zustande.
