Everything began in the Kaigasse with a provisional building for the Department of Art Education at what was then the Mozarteum Academy.
Now, with the new, attractive house to the south of Salzburg the visual arts have a domicile that offers first-class working conditions in expansive studios, and at the same time embodies the meaning of visual art as a whole for the Mozarteum University.
