Das Bolschoi Theater, wörtlich übersetzt "Großes Theater", ist mit seinen 1.700 Sitzplätzen weltbekannt für seine Opern und Ballettaufführungen.Mehr als 900 Schauspieler, Tänzer, Sänger und Musikanten arbeiten am Bolschoi Theater.
1776 wurde das Theater gegründet, 1780 zog das Theater an den heutigen Standort, allerdings brannte das Gebäude 1805 vollständig ab und wurde erst 20 Jahre später wieder neu errichtet.

Renowned the world over for its ballet and opera productions, the Bolshoi Theater reopened this past October, after renovations and restoration that took six years and more than 700 million dollars.
We are delighted to report that the motorized systems operating the stage curtains at this iconic theater were custom-manufactured by Gerriets GmbH.
