Following Wednesday ’s opening school assembly and Friday ’s Blueberry Hike, the Ecole community came together on Sunday night to enjoy the annual student talent show ahead of the first full week of classes.
Emceed by returning students Arik and Till, the talent show kicked off with new student Chia playing a tune on a ukulele and new helper Luca reciting a poem about the eccentricities of the English language in its written and spoken forms:
“When the English tongue we speak, / Why is break not rhymed with freak?
www.ecole.chNach der Eröffnungsschulgemeinde am Mittwoch und der Blaubeerwanderung am Freitag, traf sich die Ecole-Gemeinschaft am Sonntagabend – noch vor der ersten vollen Unterrichtswoche – zur jährlichen Talentshow.
Durch das Programm führten Arik und Till – beide bisherige Schüler – während die Talentshow mit Beiträgen von Neuen begann: Chia spielte eine Melodie auf der Ukulele und Luca, einer der Helfer, rezitierte ein Gedicht über die Eigenheiten der englischen Sprache in seiner geschriebenen und gesprochenen Form:
