In ihrer Diplomarbeit verknüpfte sie ein Modell zur Vorhersage über den Verbleib von Schad- und Nährstoffen in Fließgewässern (GREAT-ER) mit einem Geoinformationssystem (ArcGIS).
Sie war am Institut für Umweltsystemforschung (USF) der Universität Osnabrück als Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin tätig und dort u. a. an der Weiterentwicklung von GREAT-ER beteiligt.

As part of her diploma thesis she combined a model for the prediction of remaining contaminants and nutrients in flowing waters (GREAT-ER) with a geographical information system (ArcGIS).
She then worked as a research assistant on the further development of GREAT-ER at the Institute of Environmental Systems Research (USF) at University of Osnabrück.
