www.giz.deDie GIZ führt im Auftrag des Auswärtigen Amtes ( AA ) ein Programm zur Stärkung der Funktionsfähigkeit von Polizeistrukturen in Afrika durch.
Das Programm arbeitet in ausgewählten afrikanischen Ländern, unter anderem auch in Burundi.
In Abstimmung mit den Vereinten Nationen und dem burundischen Ministerium für öffentliche Sicherheit sowie in enger Zusammenarbeit mit anderen bilateralen Gebern stärkt es die Polizeikräfte und deren Institutionen durch Trainings-, Infrastruktur- und Ausstattungsmaßnahmen sowie durch Beratung und die Stärkung von Managementkapazitäten.
