Die TU Darmstadt entwickelt im gerade gestarteten Projekt „MARSOL“ (Demonstrating Managed Aquifer Recharge as a Solution to Water Scarcity and Draught) zusammen mit 20 Forschungseinrichtungen und Unternehmen aus 7 Ländern einen neuen Ansatz, um der Wasserknappheit langfristig zu begegnen.
