Ökologisches Schullandheim Licherode e.V., Alheim Senior citizens as environmental protection trainers for children - Success factors for extended use

The Integration Department of the city of Stuttgart received a prize for its project STARTklar, in which senior citizens assist lower secondary school leavers in the transition to working life.

The „ Ökologisches Schullandheim Licherode “, an ecological boarding school in Alheim, received a prize for its Environmental Trainer Certificate for senior citizens: in this school, senior citizens receive training on environmental themes and pass their knowledge on in schools and nurseries.

The initiative " Seniorpartner in School e.V. " received 7500 euros for building bridges between the old and young generations outside the family.

STARTklar is a project run by the integration services department of the city of Stuttgart, in which senior citizens partner with secondary school pupils to help them start out on their career.

The Ökologische Schullandheim Licherode, Alheim, developed a certificate in environmental training for senior citizens that provides them with the opportunity for continuing education and the chance to pass on their knowledge in schools and nursery schools.

The " Seniorpartner in School e.V. " initiative received 7,500 euros for its bridge-building between generations outside the family.
