Urbanität und der durch sie freigesetzte, kulturelle Surplus sind auch die Basis für eine unabhängige, kritische Filmarbeit.
Eine Filmemacherin aus Indien und zwei Filmemacher aus Nord- und Südamerika sprechen über den Einfluss der Großstädte, in denen sie leben, auf ihre Filme und ihr Denken, über ihr Verhältnis zur und ihre Kritik der Repräsentation dieser Städte in den filmischen Medien und über die von ihnen verspürte Notwendigkeit, über diese Städte und im Kontext dieser Städte selbst Filme zu machen.
