Anna Leipprand und Dr. Dieter Gerten vom Potsdam-Institut für Klimafolgenforschung haben einen Artikel im Hydrological Sciences Journal veröffentlicht, der diese Auswirkungen untersucht.
Die steigende CO2-Konzentration in der Atmosphäre beeinflusst den Wasserhaushalt durch klimatische Veränderungen, aber auch durch Änderungen der Transpiration, der Vegetationsstruktur und – verteilung.

Organisiert wurde der Workshop mit ca. 35 Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmern aus den baltischen Anrainerstaaten vom Ecologic Institute in Kooperation mit dem Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht ( HZG ); dem Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute ( SMHI ) und dem Institutes of Marine Sciences der Universtät Szeczin ( Polen ).
Ziel des Arbeitstreffens war der Austausch zwischen Klimawissenschaftler ( als Anbieter von Klimaservices ) und den potentiellen Nutzern von Klimadaten aus Politik und Administration.

The Workshop with around 35 participants was organized by Ecologic Institute in cooperations with the Helmholtz-Center Geesthacht ( Germany ); the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute ( Sweden ) and the Institute of Marine Sciences of the University of Szeczin ( Poland ).
The basic aim of the workshop was to foster an exchange of ideas between climate scientists ( as climate services providers ) and users of climate data across various countries of the Baltic Sea region.
