Die GMP-Einheit des Fraunhofer IGB entwickelt und validiert neue, teils komplexe Herstellungsprozesse für innovative Zell- therapien und Tissue-Engineering-Produkte, um die behördli- che Genehmigung zur Herstellung von klinischem Prüfmateri- al zu erlangen sowie die Partner mit ausreichendem Material dieser ATMPs für eine erste Anwendung im Patienten zu ver- sorgen.
Bioartifizielles Rekonstruktionsgewebe für die Luftröhrenchirurgie Ziel dieses BMBF-Projekts ist die Entwicklung eines Herstel- lungsprozesses und die klinische Testung eines neuartigen Implantats für die Rekonstruktion seltener Atemwegsdefekte.
Das Implantat besteht aus einer vaskularisierten porcinen Trä- gerstruktur (BioVaSc, Biological Vascularized Scaffold) und pa- tienteneigenen (autologen) Zellen.

Bioartificial tissue reconstruction for tracheal surgery The aim of this project, funded by the Federal Ministry of Edu- cation and Research (BMBF), is to develop a manufacturing process and the clinical testing of a novel implant for the re- construction of rare respiratory defects.
The implant consists of a vascularized porcine support scaffold (BioVaSc, biological vascularized scaffold) and the patient’s own (autologous) cells.
