Die Geschichte wird erzählt aus der Perspektive der in Zürich aufgewachsenen Enkelgeneration, die das Tessiner Dorf der Eltern nur aus den Ferien und die Heimat der Grosseltern in Italien nur noch aus Erzählungen kennt.
