Das Deutsche Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt ( DLR ) hat zu den Arbeiten des Weltklimarats mit wissenschaftlichen Ergebnissen beigetragen.
Der Vorstandsvorsitzende des DLR, Professor Johann-Dietrich Wörner, zeigte sich sehr erfreut über die hohe Auszeichnung, unter anderem für Rajendra Pachauri, den indischen IPCC-Chef.
"Diese Auszeichnung unterstreicht die große Bedeutung des aktuellen IPCC-Berichts zum Klimawandel, der sich bei den Aussagen zum Luftverkehr in wesentlichem Umfang auf Forschungsergebnisse des DLR stützt."
