Die größten Ebenen sind die von Theben, Chaironeia und Kopaida, welche durch die Austrocknung des gleichnamigen Sees entstandt.
Es gibt mehrere kleine Flüsse und Bäche und einer der wichtigsten davon ist der Asopos , im Westen der Präfektur , der im Kithairon entspringt und im Golf von Evia mündet . Weiters der Voiotikos Kifissos , der in den Yliki See mündet und der Livadostra beim Golf von Konrinth .
Einige der kleineren Flüsse sind Seitenarme des Kifissos, Mornos und Melas.
