Telekom Austria stellt im Rahmen des Projektes die Verbindung zwischen den beiden steirischen Sendestationen Riesstrasse sowie Gries und dem Landesstudio Steiermark her.
Die Verbindung selbst erfolgt über ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode), eine bewährte Breitbandtechnologie.
Ausgestrahlt werden ORF1, ORF 2 und Kanal 4, die sowohl über DVB-T als auch über ADSL empfangen werden können.

ASOPS-Videos ( asynchronous optical sampling ) ermöglichen die zeitaufgelöste ( bis 100 fs ) Aufnahme eines kompletten Spektrums innerhalb von 100 µs.
In nur 0,1 s können 1000 Spektren, sowie der Brechungsindex und die Absorption einer Probe, realtime, also in Echtzeit, betrachtet werden.
