ULA ( Uncommitted Logic Area ) zum Steuern der Ein- und Ausgabe, optional kann CP / M als Betriebssystem genutzt werden ( nur in den 128K und höheren Versionen, da CP / M RAM ab Adresse 0 erfordert; der Ur-Spectrum hatte dort jedoch nur ROM ).
