Radon usually gets into a building through the fundament and concentrates in the air of the building if the air exchange is low.
In modern or modernized buildings, for example, radon values can be found which correspond to 100 to 1000 times the normal external air of approx. 10 Bq/m3.
In Germany, the main fraction of the radon activity concentration in buildings (Figure 1) comes from the ground air.
