www.nationaler-radverkehrsplan.deDr. Tanja Thomas is a Professor of Communication and Media Studies with an emphasis on comparative Cultural Analysis at the ZeMKI, Centre for Communication, Media and Information Research, at the University of Bremen.Prior to her appointment at Bremen, she was a Professor of Communication Studies and Media Culture at the Universiy of Lueneburg, where she also served as the head of the institute.
After she finished her dissertation entitled „Deutsch-Stunden. Zur Konstruktion nationaler Identität im Fernsehtalk“, Tanja Thomas became a research assistant with the Institute for Media and Communication Studies (IfMK) at the TU Ilmenau.
From 2004 to 2010, Tanja Thomas was an Assistant Professor of Communication Studies and Media Culture at the University of Lueneburg, where she received both research as well as teaching awards.

Zur Konstruktion nationaler Identität in Fernsehtalks“ an der Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen war Tanja Thomas zunächst als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Institut für Medien- und Kommunikationswissenschaft (IfMK) der TU Ilmenau beschäftigt.
Von 2004 bis 2010 war sie Juniorprofessorin für Kommunikationswissenschaft und Medienkultur an der Universität Lüneburg, wo sie mit einem Forschungspreis und mit Lehrpreisen ausgezeichnet wurde.
