Eine von Manz entwickelte, vollautomatische Kalibriermethode für das 2-Achs-Scanner-System ermöglicht bis zu 4kHz Wobbelfrequenz im Dauerbetrieb bei einer bis auf den Mikrometer konstanten Einschweißtiefe und gleichzeitiger Reduktion der Materialeinschlüsse.
Damit erzeugte Schweißnähte haben eine sehr hohe Festigkeit ohne spröde intermetallische Phasen.
