Lebensmittel für Hilfswerke Die Schweizer Tafel ist eine Organisation, die es sich zur Aufgabe macht, Essen zu verteilen statt wegzuwerfen.
Täglich sammeln Mitarbeitende bei Produzenten, Grossverteilern und Detaillisten rund 14 Tonnen Lebensmittel ein und verteilen sie gratis an soziale Institutionen wie Obdachlosenheime, Gassenküchen, Notunterkünfte und andere Hilfswerke.
Seit 2001 ist die Schweizer Tafel in der Schweiz aktiv und heute in elf Regionen tätig.
