By combining these data with other geodata like seismo-tectonic, structural geology, geomorphology and topography data it was possible to identify high risk areas that are prone to higher intensities of earthquakes.

Das Wörterbuch Hochwasserschutz, ein Gemeinschaftswerk des Bundesamtes für Wasser und Geologie undder Schweizerischen Bundeskanzlei, enthält ausgewählte Fachausdrücke aus Sachgebieten wie Hydrologie, Hydraulik, Geomorphologie, Risikomanagement und Wasserbau.
Es umfasst 835 Einträge mit je über 1500 Fachausdrücken in den Sprachen Deutsch, Französisch, Italienisch und Englisch.

The Dictionary of Flood Protection, a joint project between the Federal Office for Water and Geology and the Swiss Federal Chancellery, contains selected terms from a variety of subject areas such as hydrology, hydraulics, geomorphology, risk management and hydraulic engineering.
It comprises a total of 835 entries in four languages ( German, French, Italian and English ), with over 1500 terms in each language.

Ihre Diplomarbeit hat sie in 1993 über quaternäre Sedimentologie und Geomorphologie im Wicklow-Gebirge während eines Erasmus-Aufenthalts in der University College Dublin ( Irland ) geschrieben.
Cristina hat 1998 im Centre for Quaternary Research, Coventry University ( Großbritannien ) promoviert.

In 1993, she obtained the Maîtrise de Géographie with a thesis on meltwater geomorphology and sedimentology in the Wicklow Mountains, during an Erasmus stay at the University College Dublin ( Republic of Ireland ).
In 1998, Cristina completed her PhD at the Centre for Quaternary Research, Coventry University ( UK ) on Holocene coastal geomorphology and ecology on Mainland Orkney, Scotland, as part of a EU Project on Impacts of climate change and relative sea-level rise on the environmental resources of European coasts.
