In Hongkong sind wir – Gottchen, schon so lange her ! - mit der doppelstöckigen Tramway zum Flairchecking nach North Point gefahren, durch basarähnliche Marktgässchen zwischen recht unansehnlichen Hochhäusern, von deren Fensterfronten kopflose Anwohnerhemden gespensterhaft bleich herunterwinkten.
Auch mit der Kabelbahn sind wir gefahren, Pieck-Tram genannt, dachten wir als alte Junge Pioniere, aber dann hieß es doch Peak und war wirklich Spitze mit dem Fernweh bereitenden Hafenblick.
Mit der Fähre sind wir zum…na gut, sagt man eigentlich nicht:

We also took the cable-car, called the Pieck-Tram as we young pioneers thought, but turned out to be Peak, and it really was a pinnacle, the wanderlust-inspiring view of the harbour.
We took the ferry to… well, one shouldn’t call it that: work.
