Anhand von über 200 Arbeiten prominenter KünstlerInnen vom späten 19. Jahrhundert bis in die Gegenwart wird die Faszination, die das Thema Erotik auf die Kunstschaffenden ausgeübt hat, eindrucksvoll erlebbar gemacht.
Die Ausstellung beschränkt sich dabei aber nicht auf das Sujet des menschlichen Körpers und die Darstellung des Liebesakts.
Vielmehr bezieht das Konzept Arbeiten mit ein, die die erotische Sphäre von Versuchung und Vereinigung, von Begierde und Wunschvorstellung, Traum und Unterbewusstem in vielfältigster Form thematisieren.
