Eduard Graun übersteht das Kriegsende und erhält 1949 erstmals eine feste Anstellung als Regieassistent und Programmsprecher beim Berliner Rundfunk.
Doch 1951 bezieht der Sender Räume in Ost-Berlin und Graun verliert erneut seine Arbeit.
