Nach einem einjährigen Arbeitsaufenthalt in Kalifornien ( USA ) forscht er nun in der von Professorin Ursula Keller geleiteten Ultrafast Laser Physics Group am Institut für Quantenelektronik der ETH, wo er sich mit der Weiterentwicklung der Lasertechnologie beschäftigt.
Innerhalb der AVETH leitet Florian Emaury seit Februar 2012 die Arbeitsgruppe Politik ( PoWoG ) und setzt sich in diesem Rahmen aktiv für die Integration der ausländischen Mitarbeitenden an der ETH ein.

After one year of working abroad in California, USA, he joined the Ultrafast Laser Physics Group headed by Professor Ursula Keller at the Institute for Quantum Electronics at ETH, where he is currently working on laser developments.
Within the framework of AVETH Florian leads the Politics Working Group ( PoWoG ) since February 2012, whereby he is actively engaged in addressing the issue of foreigner integration at ETH and the topic of employee salaries.

Entwicklung, Herstellung und Charakterisierung der SET-Schaltungen geschieht in der PTB in enger Zusammenarbeit zwischen den Fach-bereichen Elektrische Quantenmetrologie“ und „Quantenelektronik“.
Erste Schaltungen wurden bereits erfolgreich getestet.
www.ptb.deThe necessary precision in “ counting ” single electrons is achieved by using a special SET pump with microstrip resistors in series, being manufactured in the clean room center of PTB.
Development, fabrication and characterization of these SET circuits is done in close collaboration between PTB´s departments “Electrical Quantum Metrology” and Quantum Electronics“.
First prototype circuits were tested successfully.

Er möchte in seinem Projekt neue Quantenstrukturen mit Hilfe von Mikro- und Nanofabrikationstechniken entwickelt.
