Die Raupe lebt meist an Urtica dioica und anderen Urtica-Arten (z.B. Urtica urens).
In Nordgriechenland und auf den Kanaren fand ich zahlreiche Raupen auch an Parietaria an Mauern, in Griechenland zusammen mit solchen von Polygonia egea.
