Der Abstraktionsgrad des Originals wurde beibehalten, so dass einfache geometrische Formen dominieren, die Darstellung des Master Arachnids ist noch die aufwändigste Grafik die einem im Spiel begegnet.
Dass lediglich vier Farben verwendet wurden mag daran liegen, dass man es bei Axis Assassin mal wieder mit einer quasi 1:1 Portierung eines ursprünglich für den Apple II geschriebenen Spiels zu tun hat.
