Der vorliegende Bericht bietet eine erste sozialwissenschaftliche Analyse des Verhaltens der österreichischen Wähler und Wählerinnen bei der Nationalratswahl 1999.
Methodisch stützt sich die Analyse auf Daten einer repräsentativen Wahltagsbefragung ( exit poll ) .
Dabei wurde eine bundesweite Stichprobe von N = 2.200 Wählern unmittelbar nach Verlassen der Wahllokale über ihr Wahlverhalten und entscheidungsrelevante Hintergrundmotive befragt.
