Aufgrund der politischen Instabilität des Landes und der institutionellen Schwächen der Schutzgebietsbehörde sind die fortschrittlichen Konzepte und Strategien bisher nur teilweise umgesetzt.

Lokale Akteure sind wenig koordiniert und das Schutzgebietssystem ( Sistema Nacional de Áreas Protegidas – SNAP ) ist noch unzureichend in den lokalen , regionalen und nationalen Entwicklungskontext eingebunden .

Ziel Das Nationale System der Naturschutzgebiete ist durch die Integration der einzelnen Schutzgebiete in die Entwicklungsprozesse auf lokaler, regionaler und nationaler Ebene nachhaltig gestärkt.

Objective The integration of individual protected areas into the development process at local, regional and national levels has sustainably strengthened the ‘ National System of Protected Areas ’.
