Furthermore, many of the Emerging Markets in Asia and Latin America which have been favoured so far by investors have negative C / A balances and are thus relatively strongly dependent on inflows of foreign capital.
By contrast, many CEE countries have achieved marked improvements in their C/A balances, and consequently their earlier dependence on foreign capital has declined considerably.
At the same time, these markets naturally continue to be strongly influenced by monetary policy and economic developments in the USA and the Eurozone.
