www.conservation.unibas.chHowever, why orange and red-orange blossoms crop up here and there in the Alpine flower garden still remains a mystery.
The meadows in the Alpine flower garden are wonderfully speckled with colour, with yellow Arnica, the blue Bearded Bellflower and the orange-red Shaggy Hawkweed (Hieraceum villosum).
Other plants which blossom here include Edelweiss, pink and blue Himalayan poppies (Meconopsis), lilac Alpine flaxweed, yellow (Schnaps) gentian, the impressively large wolly thistle, the insect-pollinated Carex baldensis and lots more.
www.bergbahn-kitzbuehel.atWarum aber im Alpenblumengarten dort und da auch orange oder rot-orange Blüten mittendrin auftauchen, bleibt ein Rätsel.
Die Wiesen des Alpenblumengartens sind wunderschön bunt getupft durch die gelbe Arnika, die blaue Bartglockenblume und das orangerote Habichtskraut (Hieracium aurantiacum).
Weiters blühen Edelweiss, rosa und blaue Scheinmohnarten (Meconopsis) aus dem Himalya, das lila Alpen-Leinkraut, der Gelbe (Schnaps-)Enzian, die beeindruckend große Wollkopf-Kratzdistel, die tierbestäubte Monte-Baldo-Segge (Carex baldensis) und vieles mehr.
www.bergbahn-kitzbuehel.atSince 1985 they have both been commissioned, together with Prof. Dr. Herbert Reisigl from the Institute for Botanics in Innsbruck, with the design and care of the floral area on the summit of the Kitzbühel Horn.
Year in, year out they surprise their visitors with botanical features: from A for “ Auricula ” to Z for “ Zottiges Habichtskraut ” ( Shaggy Hawkweed ).

Und Jahr für Jahr überraschen sie ihre Besucher mit botanischen Besonderheiten: von A wie „ Aurikel “ bis Z wie „ zottiges Habichtskraut “.
