The advantage is that now, users do not need to develop their own test procedures for qualifying their safety valves and are only able to use these procedures after they have ordered valves which they consider suitable, but rather they can immediately order evidence of suitability as per DIN EN 13648-1.
With this special test lab, HEROSE GMBH is the first European manufactur- er to be in a position to test safety valves according to the requirements of DIN EN 13648-1 up to a rated pressure of 50 bar / 725 PSI and a maximum flow cross sec- tion of 25 mm.

Der Vorteil ist jetzt, dass der Anwender zur Qualifizierung seines Sicherheitsventils nicht selbst ein Prüf- verfahren entwickeln muss und dann auch erst nach erfolgter Bestellung von vermeintlich geeigneten Ventilen anwen- den kann, sondern den Eignungsnach- weis nach DIN EN 13648-1 gleich bestel- len kann.
Mit diesem speziellen Prüfstand ist die HEROSE GMBH als erster europäischer Hersteller in der Lage, Sicherheitsventile gemäß den Anforderungen der DIN EN 13648-1 bis zu einem Nenndruck von 50 bar und einem maximalen Strömungs- querschnitt von 25 mm zu prüfen.
www.herose.comFor set pressures lower than 1,5 bar the regulations are inconsistent with the requirements of the PED : safety valves have to discharge the max. possible mass flow certain at a pressure increase of 10 % above the set pressure.
Therefore HEROSE safety valves are above the requirements of these standards set within a tolerance of – 0 % and + 3 %.
For set pressures lower than 1,0 bar apply – 0 and + 0,1 bar.
www.herose.comBei Ansprechdrücken kleiner als 1,5 bar widerspricht diese Regelung jedoch der Forderung der Druckgeräterichtlinie : die Sicherheitsventile müssen bei einer Drucksteigerung von 10 % des Einstelldruckes die volle Leistung abführen können.
Daher sind HEROSE Sicherheitsventile über die Anforderungen der Standards hinaus eingestellt auf den Einstelldruck – 0 % und + 3 %.
