The small, serrated stamps from all over the world tell of Luther's nailing the 95 theses to the Castle Church door in Wittenberg on 31 October 1517, of the Reformer's place of birth in Eisleben. They show Luther with his doctoral cap and reveal how his cause became more and more political.
Stamps, letters, telegrams, seals and other records testify to the ban imposed on the Catholic professor by his church.
