Bei ausgedehnten Tumoren, schwierigen Konstellationen, wenn z.B. Patienten noch an anderen Erkrankungen leiden und Grenzfällen, werden die Entscheidungen für die geeignete Therapie interdisziplinär zusammen mit Strahlentherapeuten, Onkologen und weiteren Spezialisten aus unseren Nachbardisziplinen wie HNO, Neurochirurgie oder Augenheilkunde, getroffen.
Als Behandlungsmethoden kommen grundsätzlich die chirurgische Tumorentfernung, Bestrahlung und Chemotherapie in Frage.
