Auf Malta angekommen, war es schon dunkel und wir stellten fest, dass nicht mehr alle Busse vom Fährhafen fuhren.

Having arrived on Malta, it was already dark and we noticed, that not all busses were going from the quay at that time.

The urban Malta around Sliema and Valetta you should rather avoid with a rental car. The traffic there is quite heavy and the Mediterranean way of driving of the Maltese is not for weak nerves.

Eine Überfahrt hingegen mit einem Mietwagen von Malta aus für einen Tag lohnt kaum, da die Fähre allein hierfür 5,75 Lm verlangt und man u.U. auch nicht sofort mit der nächsten mitkommt.
Für Fotobegeisterte sollte die Inselrundfahrt vormittag am Azure Window vorbeiführen, da der Lichteinfall dann durch die Sonne ideal für schöne Aufnahmen ist.
