Nach einem Forschungsaufenthalt im Labor von Dr. Markus Frank am Children ’s Hospital Boston während ihres praktischen Jahres entdeckte sie ihr Interesse für translationale Forschung in der Onkologie und stieß im August 2009 als naturwissenschaftliche Doktorandin zur AG Feldmann.
Im Rahmen ihrer Doktorarbeit untersucht sie die Rolle des Hippo-Signaltransduktionsweges in Ätiologie und Progression von duktalen Adenokarzinomen des Pankreas.
