Payment of Quelle after quarterly statement leads to positive impact on Q4 earnings
Jena, November 9, 2009 – Intershop Communications AG ( ISIN:
www.intershop.deInsgesamt wurden im Berichtszeitraum Wertberichtigungen auf Forderungen gegenüber dem Versandhändler in Höhe von 824 TEUR vorgenommen, wovon 268 TEUR bereits im zweiten Quartal abgeschrieben worden waren.
Nach Quartalsabschluss hat Quelle einen Teil dieser wertberichtigten Forderungen bezahlt, so dass im vierten Quartal ein Ertrag von rund 400 TEUR gebucht werden kann.
In den ersten neun Monaten erreichte Intershop ein Ergebnis vor Steuern, Zinsen und Abschreibungen ( EBITDA ) von 584 TEUR nach 1,8 Mio. EUR in den ersten neun Monaten 2008.

After closing of the quarterly statements a part of these receivables were paid by Quelle, which results in positive earnings of EUR 400 thousand in the fourth quarter.
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization ( EBITDA ) fell from EUR 1.8 million in the previous year to EUR 584 thousand in the first nine months of 2009.
