Geologische Strukturen
Das hauptsächliche tektonische Element im Untersuchungsgebiet ist die Mont Terri Antiklinale.
Es handelt sich dabei um eine domartige Falte, welche infolge des Druckes aus den Alpen (Fernschub) ca. 1 km auf den Tafeljura in der Ajoie geschoben wurde.

The main tectonic feature in the investigation area is the Mont Terri anticline.
This is a dome-shaped fold which, because of the pressure from the Alps (alpine décollement thrust/Fernschub hypothesis), was thrust around 1 km over the Tabular Jura in the Ajoie area.

Das Felslabor liegt vollständig im Opalinuston, im Südschenkel der Mont Terri-Antiklinale.
Die Schichten fallen im Felslabor mit ca. 42° nach SSE ein.

The rock laboratory lies completely in the Opalinus Clay, in the southern limb of the Mont Terri anticline.
In the rock laboratory, the layers dip approximately 42° to the SSE.

Der Standort Ketzin liegt oberhalb einer solchen geologischen Antiklinale (Abb. 1).
Die Einspeisung des CO2 erfolgt an der Südflanke dieser Aufwölbungsstruktur in etwa 630 bis 650 m Tiefe.

The Ketzin site is located above one of these geological anticlines (Ill. 1).
The CO2 is injected on the south side of this arched structure, at a depth of about 630 to 650 m.
