Die Hauptaufgaben von Lernprozessbegleitern ( learning facilitators ) sind zum einen die Mobilisierung der Gemeinschaft zu Beginn des Prozesses, zum anderen die Unterstützung bei der Bildung von Netzwerken.
Meist leben sie selbst in dem Gebiet , in dem sie arbeiten , und kennen sich dort sehr gut aus .
Lernprozessbegleiter unterstützen den gesamten Prozess und gelten als Rückgrat des LearnNet-Tools, da sie idealerweise alle Akteure zusammenbringen und die Initiative zur Weiterentwicklung ergreifen.
