The year 2006 was indeed a breakthrough for Swiss films.
The growing popularity among the public, which had already begun in 2005, was transformed into a plebiscite in 2006.
Five Swiss films exceeded the mark of 100'000 admissions and contributed to a substantial portion of Switzerland's share in the market:

Finally, Mr Rudloff was re-elected, but his re-election is far from being a plebiscite, as he only received support from 91% of the votes cast.
Concerning Dr. Vasella, his re-election was approved by 93.4% of the shareholders.

Der Wiederwahl von Herrn Vasella stimmten 93,4% der anwesenden Aktionäre und Aktionärinnen zu.
