Da nicht alle Objekte in die Ausstellung Eingang finden konnten , wurden zirka 1.000 aussagekräftige Exponate ausgewählt , die vom Gestaltungsteam unter der Leitung von Erika Thümmel in den Stollen des Grazer Schloßbergs in Szene gesetzt wurden .
Das labyrinthische Stollensystem im Inneren des Berges diente dabei der Ausstellung als Metapher für die verschlungenen Pfade des Gedächtnisses.
