In 2009, 17 countries had enhanced their agricultural gross domestic product by more than 6 %, while seven countries invested more than 10 % of their national budget in the agricultural sector.
Commitment in terms of international cooperation is also increasing once again .
For example, in 2009 a sum of USD 22 billion was pledged by the G8 for the promotion of agribusiness.
